End Diaper Need Act

Introduced in September of 2023, this bill aims to maintain the health and hygiene of infants and toddlers for those eligible through the social services block grant. Support for this bill is essential as diaper needs across the United States is severely overlooked. It is estimated that less than 50% of births in the United States are supported by medicaid, which makes items like diapers a burden for families to budget in on their own. The End Diaper need act provides targeted funding for those in need and ensures a healthy baby is not a financial hamper.

PREEMIE Reauthorization Act of 2023

Infant mortality affected by financial impediments and issues, this act pushes for increased governmental support on preterm birth, infant mortality, and related effects. While dealing with loss of infants at birth or other health issues concerning one's baby, families around the country are faced with financial burdens that make their processes all the more challenging. With this act, it focuses on lowering infant mortality rates by decreasing the potential risks.

A period of recognition to Black mothers experiencing high, disproportionate rates of maternal mortality and morbidity in the United States, which warrants this to be brought to attention and conversation. This week advocates for a rise to treat Black mothers with the healthcare they deserve when going through their pregnancy and have access to the care and support that they are entitled to.

A bill to improve the safety of infant formula through testing of infant formula for microorganisms and toxic elements, and for other purposes

Promotes the health and safety of infants who are at risk for consuming toxic baby formula large companies manufacture. It enforced a screening to be conducted for baby formulas so that parents can trust that what their babies are being fed is healthy and not harming them.
