Our Commitment to Safety and Health

Ello Puppet is committed to safety and quality. Our diapers undergo third party testing to ensure they are free from harmful substances like o-aminoazotoluene, prioritizing the well-being of babies. We provide protection against skin irritation, respiratory issues, and other health risks associated with toxic chemicals. Our dedication to excellence extends to providing parents with peace of mind, knowing they've chosen a trustworthy product for their little ones. With Ello Puppet diapers, we prioritize safety, comfort, and reliability, reaffirming our commitment to delivering the best for babies and their caregivers. Below is a summary of just some of the chemicals found in diapers on the market.

Perfluoroalkyl and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) are ubiquitous in modern life, present in everything from cookware to firefighting foam. Surprisingly, they've also found their way into diapers. PFAS-coated diapers offer enhanced absorbency and wetness protection, but concerns over their potential health effects loom large. Studies link PFAS exposure to adverse health outcomes like cancer, immune system disruption, and developmental issues. Given infants' heightened vulnerability, parents are rightfully alarmed. Calls for stricter regulations on PFAS in consumer products, including diapers, grow louder. As caregivers weigh convenience against safety, the debate underscores the importance of informed consumer choices and robust regulatory oversight.

p-Cresidine is a chemical compound used in the production of dyes and pigments, occasionally found in diaper materials such as colorants or printing inks. Due to its ability to impart color, it may be used in designs or patterns on the diaper's exterior. Its presence in diapers poses health risks, especially to babies. Exposure to p-Cresidine can lead to skin irritation and allergic reactions. Additionally, p-Cresidine is classified as a potential carcinogen, raising concerns about long-term health effects. Babies, with their sensitive skin and developing immune systems, are particularly susceptible to these risks. Contact with diapers containing p-Cresidine may exacerbate skin conditions and respiratory issues.

Cadmium is a heavy metal naturally occurring in the Earth's crust, often associated with industrial activities such as mining and fossil fuel burning. In diapers, cadmium may inadvertently exist as a trace contaminant, particularly in materials derived from recycled sources or during manufacturing processes involving cadmium-containing substances. Risks of cadmium exposure include skin irritation upon contact, toxicity leading to damage to organs like kidneys and lungs, and potential developmental and reproductive effects, especially in infants. To mitigate these risks, strict quality control measures in manufacturing are essential, and choosing diapers from reputable brands prioritizing safety is advisable.

Formaldehyde is a colorless, strong-smelling gas commonly used in manufacturing processes, including the production of certain fabrics and adhesives. In diapers, formaldehyde may be present as a byproduct of chemical reactions in materials such as adhesives or synthetic fibers like polyester. Risks of formaldehyde exposure include skin irritation, allergic reactions, and respiratory issues such as coughing and wheezing. Prolonged or high-level exposure to formaldehyde has been linked to more severe health concerns, including cancer. To mitigate risks, choosing diapers from brands that prioritize formaldehyde-free materials and manufacturing processes is advisable, alongside proper ventilation during diaper changing.

Other chemicals that have found their way so close to our baby's bodies are perfluorooctanesulfonic acid (PFOS), p-Cresidine, Cadmium, Benzidine, 4-Chloro-o-toluidine, 5-Nitro-o-toluidine, O-aminoazotoluene, P-chloroaniline, and even 2,4-Diaminoanisole, We've tested over 32 chemicals in Ello Puppet's diapers, and none were detected, ensuring peace of mind for parents everywhere. By choosing diapers from Ello Puppet, parents can have peace of mind knowing that they are providing their little ones with safe and reliable protection against skin irritation, respiratory issues, and other health risks associated with toxic chemicals. Additionally, supporting responsible brands encourages industry-wide accountability and fosters a safer environment for infants worldwide.
